Much scurrying was done to decide on the "area" to stay in Bali since both of us have NEVER been. S insisted on stayiing in Seminyak which is supposingly the high end spa and boutique shopping capital of Bali. MUCH overrated IMO. There was NOTHING to do there but than again, i have never been a much of a Beach getaway girl but everything turned out pretty well.
Almost all the Spa-Villas here provide in-house Spas, so its really a matter of deciding which Villa appeals to you the most since you would be staying in most of the time? lolz.
Just a map which i think is darn helpful, would have been awesome i i found this before i left! as you can see Seminyak is at the LHS of the map and approx 30min from the airport. If i had picked i would probably have went for UBUD which is further inland. But you dun get to see much of the beach there as it is surrounded by rice paddy fields.
And if you happen to go UBUd, please please please go the rock bar for me.. they have a more speculate sunset than Ku-de-ta at Seminyak.

Dennis and co. was nice enough to offer to bring us to Rock Bar but all the mojitos and wines have taken a kick for the night so we decided to give it a pass since Ubud is 90min by car away from Seminyak.
Enroute to the hotel!!! excites much!
We stayed at Disini Luxury Spa which is only 10min walk away from Ku-de-ta . Basically everywhere"touristy" here is walkable but if you really wanna see the whole area i would really recommend getting a local"guide" who drives you around ANYWHERE u want for approx SGD70 a day.
we got the 3D2NSpa package which included 6 "sessions" of ala carte spa for about 648USD. and here are the 2 nice ladies whom took care of us the whole trip:>
we tried the Balinese Herbal Spa remedy and i kept telling S that our tub looks like a big pot of uncooked Tom Yam Soup:>
we lazed for a little more and went out to explore the area at about 4pm after the 3Hr spa. awesome max.
Lunch/Dinner was at the Seminyak Square, though they are many restuarants there, i wasnt ready to eat anything but INDO!
Appetiser was Tahu-Goreng(Tofu with peanut sauce) which wasnt very good. a Tad sweet for my liking:o
Ayam Pengang-BBq Chicken which was also ok only.
Ayam Sayur Lodeh Lontong' probably the best of the lot.
The meal satisfied my indon food craving but overall this supposingly well known cafe chain was short of being fantastic.
Kudeta is just minutes walk away, Right after Oberoi. the weather was miserably wet and we sort of expected to not see the sunset:<
i totally adore this Pavillion, if i have a house with a pool and all, this is a MUST MUST MUST!!!
Finally the check out day, another day more and I am so gonna die of boredom. i insisted on going to Warung Eropa for lunch before check out. and by looking at the map, it should take us like 15min of walking or less to reach. to our horror, we walked and walked and walked and everytime we stopped to ask fro directions, they always say further dn, 5mins walk. Screw it*___* dun believe any of that, hop onto a cab and bargain for fares! you wont regret it!
yay!!! finally reach!!! IM SO HUNGRY!!!
overall, Bali is a nice relaxing place if you wanna get away from the city stress. i believe i would be back for more, and the next time i would make sure S let me rent a motorcycle so i do not have to walk so much again!!
and lastly , thank you so much for this trip!! i enjoyed every bit of time spent with you. love u!!!
really really nice pictures you guys have made... :)
