0232am... and i am almost dyingggggg........ didnt realize it takes so much just to plan out a europe itinery. blame it on my procrastinating nature.. leavin everything to the very last minute and thn... i start to panick.. jolly deserve it:o
After settling the connections thru out europe, i am taking baby steps to finalize ALL accomodation.
booking.com, Tripadvisor.com,
booking.com, cityapartments.com , roomarama.com .... and the endless
tabs i have on my lappie as i really would prefer to stay in an
apartment than a cold plain old European hotel... my eyes are seeing
millions of stars....
First Up on the list: LONDON(25 jan -27jan)
Booked a Median Luxury Suite on www.hyde-park-executive-apartments.com
it was a mixture of impluse and kiasuness as at this very momment i have a feeling im gonna be in for a surprise(in a bad way) as the reviews for this apartment is so bloody mixed:< Rates are really cheap though 65GBP (
aprox S$130/Night) Moreover they are so prompt in answering my queries on my luggage storage, so with the additional stress of seeing the blinking "01 room left" i just GOTTA book pronto!
Second in line: MILAN(27th Jan - 29th Jan)
The fact that i have never been to milan thruout my flying years, i have a little difficulty in deciding where to stay. Took a shot at roomanara and was pleasantly surprise by the warmth of the host, Max.:>
Our Flat is gonna be located 2 minutes away from Corso Como and Garibaldi's Railway Station. Corso Como is apparantly an area dedicted to art, fashion and for many years many celebraties and fashionistas are seen flocking to this area for a drink.. excites much:>
Back to the apartment, Max have been most helpful and he made it a point to answer all my queries Asap, even offering to book airport transfers for us:>
Damage is only
€158(approx S$261) for 2 nights or
€78/night , that's including all taxes and surcharges:>
London and Milan took me almost 3 days to confirm everything. WTF*_*
Planning Tip #1: plan as early as possible
Next Up Amsterdam(29th Jan to 1st Feb)
Horrible enough that i do not understand a word of Dutch, and Amsterdam being such a "partying" city, most of the apartments look pretty rundown ... YES its showsss even in pictures. the most horrifying of all is a review i saw of XXXX Hotel whereby Not ONE but serveral guests complaining of rodents running around in theor room at night, a couple even claimed the rodent ate their breakfast which consist of 2 space-cakes.. wahahhahah.. amusing much:>
Planning Tip #2: Do not take what you see in booking.com or even the hotel official photos as a deciding factor when u are confirming the order. My trick is to google for more reviews of hotel choice in travel advisors such as tripadvisor. For eg, search " Tripadvisor amsterdam amstel hotel"
I find this formula working pretty fine for me so far, it may be a little more work but it beats staying at some beaten up motel in some foreign land:> My choice after hours and hours of researching is
Holiday In The Heart Of Amsterdam or HITHOA for short. lolz some name for a hotel but reviews are really excellent across all the 4 websites i am looking at. Pretty reasonable rates of € 277.00 (Approx S$458 ) for 3 nights or S$153 per night. And you know what, i booked the LAST room again, was sick enough to go back and check and felt superly thrilled to see "No more rooms available on requested dates". Ha.
Right now I'm anxiously awaiting for replies from Paris apartments owners on the availability of their units from 1st to 4th Feb. and i am still torn between staying at Champs Elysées or Tour de Effiel.
would update this last slot aszzp
Final stop before heading back to LONDON : PARIS(1st Feb to 4th Feb)
YAYNESSSSssssss!!! confirmed my Paris Accomodation finally! decided to stay in the 7th District(7th arrondissement ) since all the research shows that THIS is the neighbourhood to stay in while visiting Paris. Even though the apartments in the 8th district is offering a nicer, bigger apartment at the same price. I found this baby thru http://www.holiday-rentals.co.uk as ROOMORAMA.com showed really little choices and most of the better ones are alr taken up.
Stephane have been most helpful and certainly didnt find me a nuisance after i send umpteen emails to find out information. This precious cost only EUR210 (SGD358) for 3 nights or SGD119 per night. FULL facilities!! awesome or what!
